Turning The Power of Film Into The Power of Action

From September 20th to 29th, 2025

Our Model

The Trees & Seas Film Festival is an international hybrid initiative that connects global audiences through both online streaming and in-person events hosted by community partners around the world.

This approach ensures accessibility while creating meaningful, localized connections through storytelling. We bring together local communities by using film to inspire conversations, collective action, resilience, and real-world impact.

75% of proceeds support local efforts to mitigate and remediate plastic pollution and advance circular economy initiatives.

"Every film festival is an invitation to a conversation, a space to reflect, to challenge, and to dream of a better tomorrow."

Let's turn the power of film into the power of action, TOGETHER

Trees & Seas isn't confined to a single venue. Instead, it's a worldwide celebration of storytelling through film to inspire positive change.

Where Films Grow Roots & Actions Make Waves

Thank you for making the Trees & Seas Film Festival unforgettable!

This year, we united over 30 communities worldwide through the transformative power of film, inspiring collective action to protect our forests, oceans, and planet. With over 70  events and 7,000 attendees, 12,000 kg of waste was retrieved and 5 acres of land were restored.

75% of ticket proceeds support BlueCommunities’ efforts to mitigate, remediate plastic pollution and advance to circular economy initiatives around the world.

Turning films into the action the world needs.

COMMUNITY ALLIES

At the heart of our global impact is a powerful alliance: Community Allies,  a collaboration between corporate sponsors and engaged local partners driving real-world environmental change.

Corporate sponsors fuel our mission by providing essential resources that amplify our reach, helping bring impactful environmental stories to global audiences. Their support powers our ability to connect storytelling with sustainability, awareness with action.

On the ground, our Community Allies include local businesses, nonprofits, schools, universities, and passionate individuals. These grassroots champions lead hands-on efforts in their communities organizing events, promoting sustainable practices, and turning inspiration into lasting change.

Whether through innovative solutions, financial support, or direct action, our Community Allies are united by a shared vision: a healthier planet where trees and seas thrive. Together, they build momentum from the ground up—mobilizing local action to fuel global impact.
